We Are Ready for the 2012 Season!

Gearing up for the 2012 garden season! Sputt has beautiful lettuce ready for you at $3.00 a bag. (That's a plastic grocery bag filled with garden-fresh gourmet type lettuces.) His goal for next week is to sell 50 bags, so you can imagine how much lettuce he has ready! For those of you in the Somerville area, he will deliver to you next Tuesday, if you let us know.
The asparagus is next; we are getting 2-3 a day, but the rows are really starting to produce, so it won't be long until there is enough to sell.  We keep a juice glass with a couple of inches of water in the refrigerator for the ones he's bringing in, and when we get enough (is there ever enough?) I roast them in the oven (a la Barefoot Contessa style) or lightly steam them and add a little lemon pepper at the table.  Yum Yum!
